Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at First Love Church. It’s how we seek God, encounter His presence, and partner with His heart for people.

We believe prayer creates space for healing, breakthrough, repentance, renewal, and deeper intimacy with Jesus. Teams are available after each service at the front of the church to pray alongside anyone seeking encouragement, healing, breakthrough, or support. If you are interested in serving on this team, please use the sign-up below.

Personal Light Sessions are private, Spirit-led appointments where trained ministers walk alongside individuals in prayer for healing, freedom, and restoration in Christ.

Our Evening Light Sessions are extended worship nights open to all with space for prayer, including opportunities for healing and deliverance ministry.

July prayer report

The Lord was showing me at the beginning of July, that God has miracles and an outpouring of his spirit in mind for our congregation, but in order to receive those blessings and those miracles, a refining process has to be completed among his people first. I was sensing initially that division was being sown among us in the form of gossip, slander and negativity. And I felt a call from the Lord for all of us to be brave if we hear it and to shut it down, to have grace for one another, and to make room for each other’s faults. He is calling us to repent from this and instead pray for each other and speak life over one another.

Something I shared at pre-service prayer one morning was that since starting my position as Prayer Ministry Lead at the end of March, I have seen how much prayer changes the atmosphere and how there are real, tangible shifts when we pray! I also saw favor upon the King’s Table (Wednesday night prayer) and that whatever get’s established at the King’s Table, spills into the Light Sessions and into Sundays and beyond.

I have been asking the Lord what HE wants for the people of First Love Church and I felt that he said, “I want my people to look so much like me, that the world can’t tell us apart”. WOW! But in order to get there, we need to lay things down, let go of things we are controlling; we need to die to ourselves and allow Jesus to fully take control. We need to take our eyes off of ourselves and back onto Jesus! I saw a picture of a sharp sword cutting through people’s walls and masks and exposing infection underneath – not to harm or to embarrass or to shame, but to heal, to bring wholeness, and maturity into the whole body so that he can then pour out his miracles and blessings upon our church and we can receive them with gladness and can give all the glory back to the Father! Hebrews 4:12 & 13 “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable”.

So, church, if we feel we are being exposed and our sin is “on display”, let us lean into the cleansing that the Lord wants to bring to those infected parts of us so that we will experience freedom, and so that he will find a pure bride waiting for him! This is for our benefit and for the benefit of the rest of the world who doesn’t yet know him!
