Prayer MINISTRY

Experience Spirit-led prayer, healing, and deliverance through corporate worship gatherings or personal ministry sessions designed to bring freedom, restoration, and hope.

our heart behind prayer

Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at First Love Church. It’s how we seek God, encounter His presence, and partner with His heart for people.

We believe prayer creates space for healing, breakthrough, repentance, renewal, and deeper intimacy with Jesus. Whether gathered together in corporate prayer, in a small group or coming before God personally, we pursue a lifestyle of dependence on the Holy Spirit, confident that God still speaks, moves, and transforms lives today.

August prayer report

August began with heavy hearts as we collectively mourned (along with the entire city) for the loss of Parker Wells. Through the heaviness though, we saw how the Lord brought a whole city of 1.5 million people together, united in one single cause. It was a glimpse into what believers can do together united in one purpose. People volunteered their time and their money to search for this missing child en masse. Some people physically looked, some people manned the central command centre, some people donated food and water to volunteers, some people stood by for counselling support, and still others (who could not do those things mentioned) prayed fervently for Parker’s safe return. All members of one functioning body with different parts to play. We all reoriented our lives around making sure he was found.

And so, imagine what could be achieved if we all had that mindset towards our King? To seek the Lord with all of our free time, with all of our hearts and souls? To think non-stop about Jesus and the scriptures? How transformed would we be as a person, as a church, as a whole bride? It makes the Tower of Babel, so tall it touched the heavens, look more than achievable, doesn’t it?

We then had the honor of hosting Torben and Lena Sondergaard with The Last Reformation Ministry here at our church. This was an incredible time of equipping and kickstarting our faith to shifting our priorities and looking outwards to the people in our direct sphere of influence who need to hear about Jesus! We were given very easy and practical tools to make loving others and walking as a disciple a lifestyle and not just something we do to check off a box in order to be considered a Christian.

Our church has entered into a season of FRUIT BEARING. I hear that word over and over when I talk to the Lord about where our church is at. We have been waiting all summer for something big to shift in our church and I think Torban coming to our church was just the beginning. In John 15:5, Jesus says, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me, you can do nothing”. And Jesus continues is verse 8, “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my father”.

Fruit comes from knowing Jesus. Fruit comes from being transformed from the inside out, and not from saying a prayer to get into heaven one day. Fruit comes from living as a disciple, putting our own wants and desires aside for the sake of others, and even being willing to die for our faith. Trusting Jesus despite our circumstances produces fruit. Keeping Jesus as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords over all of our problems instead of our problems over the King of the Universe, produces fruit!

So, be encouraged church family! If you abide in Jesus, and He abides in you, you will produce fruit because a healthy tree cannot produce bad fruit! What a promise!
