Meet the Team

LEAD PASTORS

Justin & Tamara Menzies

Justin Menzies became lead pastor of First Love Church (then Jubilee Christian Centre) in September of 2021. Prior to this, Justin and his wife Tamara served Jubilee for five years in young adults and youth ministry. Long before taking this formal position, Justin and Tamara have lived to see Jesus known and followed. They have been engaged in many forms of ministry, serving various churches and ministries since 2008. Justin became an ordained minister and Tamara a licensed minister through the Ministers Network of Canada in 2021. They are deeply committed to the Body of Christ, and desire the unity which Jesus Himself longs for (John 17:21-24). They are passionate about people discovering the greatness of who Jesus is and to see God’s people love Him wholeheartedly in purity, righteousness and steadfast faith. Justin was born and raised in Calgary. He ran from God in his early teens and chose a life of addiction, violence and bouts of homelessness. In 2007, he responded to God’s call and moved to Vancouver, BC, to join a ministry school with Streams Ministries under the late John Paul Jackson. It was there that he fully surrendered his life to God and had a new beginning at the age of 22. Tamara was born in Edmonton and raised in Kelowna, BC. She surrendered her life to God at 14 years old, radically reorienting her life around Christ. She attended YWAM as a young adult and then pursued a career as a social worker. In addition to being on staff and serving the church in various capacities, Tamara works as a registered social worker in her private counselling practice. Justin and Tamara have been married since 2010. They raised Justin’s son, Kadin, together. After graduatig high school in 2023, he attended two YWAM schools in Kona, Hawaii, and returned to Calgary to marry his beautiful wife Shanae.

EXECUTIVE PASTORS

Karl & Chelsea Snyder

Karl and Chelsea joined the First Love staff as Executive Pastors in September of 2024. They have a shared passion for living fully sold out for God that brought them together almost two decades ago. Their heart is to see sons and daughters of God grow in relationship with Jesus and be trained and equipped to fulfill the destiny He has called them to. Chelsea and Karl have served the body of Christ in many different capacities over the last 20+ years and both carry non-profit as well as corporate leadership experience. Karl holds a Master’s in Divinity from Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary. He loves the mountains, outdoor adventures and spending time with his family. Chelsea worked as a lawyer for many years and used to run a law firm. She loves dance and dance ministry and has a business that helps equip, empower, and release freedom to kids and adults through dance. Chelsea and Karl have four children who they adore and they consider it one of their greatest privileges in life to raise up their children to know and love God and follow passionately after Him.

KIEAUNA KITTLAUS

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Kieauna joined the staff team as the Children’s Ministry Director in early 2024, shortly after completing her degree in education. She has a love for evangelism and a passion for prayer, and longs to see her generation go all in for Jesus. Kieauna has a special calling in working with children and youth. She serves as a leader in Tehilla Youth Ministry School, and has worked with United Youth Outreach for several summers. She is committed to following the Holy Spirit in how to best disciple and raise up the next generation. She is committed to walking in a life of obedience to the Lord, pursuing holiness and righteousness by the grace, love and leading of the Lord. FLC is blessed to have her leading in children’s ministry!

Ashley Kitchen

HEALING & DELIVERANCE MINISTRY DIRECTOR

Ashley Kitchen is a lover of Jesus, a wife, and a mother of two amazing kids aged 7 and 10. She is also the founder of First Love's healing and deliverance ministry, "Light Sessions". After several years of wholehearted volunteering of her time in the development of this ministry, she joined the staff team early in 2026. Ashley exudes the name of her ministry, as one who shines brightly everywhere she goes. She does not shy away from darkness, choosing instead to boldly bring the light, love and truth of Jesus and the Gospel everywhere she goes. She loves worshipping and spending time in God's presence, and her ministry flows from this place of initmacy and testimony of personal healing and freedom in Christ. Ashley owns a photography business called Three Sisters Photography which has been a unique gift from the Lord to collaborate with people she loves. Her business has allowed her to use her creative vision and calling of encouraging others to capture a beautiful perspective of weddings and families. She also loves a good cup of coffee and a rich conversation. Sitting near water and getting drenched in sunshine makes her heart leap!

Erin Bareham

PRAYER MINISTRY LEAD

Erin is a wife, mom of four teenagers, and a nurse who cares deeply about people - both inside and outside the church. She loves music and all things creative, and spends her free time singing, playing bass guitar, or working on digital art - typically with a coffee nearby and a teenager not far behind. Erin has a heart for authentic faith and meaningful connection, and is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and encouraged in their walk with God. Erin stepped into her role as Prayer Ministry Lead early in 2026, and has experienced her love for people and the Lord blossom in new beautiful ways in the spaces of prayer she now leads and supports.

OFFICE & FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR

Rebekah and her family began attending First Love in 2025 and she joined the staff fam in early 2026. Rebekah holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Calgary and worked for many years in the oil and gas industry but found her passion in the crossroads of finance and ministry. She loves working with numbers, finding ways to improve efficiency, and building genuine connections with people. In addition to her affinity for budgets and spreadsheets, she has an amazing sense of humour, loves Jesus deeply, and has a very compassionate heart. She was born and raised in Calgary and now calls Okotoks home with her husband, Andreas Campan, and their three young boys. They love being outside, especially hiking in the beautiful Rocky mountains, and spending time with family and friends!

Kay Vicente

SERVICES & EVENTS DIRECTOR

Kay joined the staff and the church in the fall of 2025. She had just completed 3 years of ministry school at Bethel in California and received a powerful confirmation that the Lord was leading her to make First Love her home church. Kay carries a gift of administration and a passion for creative ideas. She leads the planning and execution of yearly holiday events within the church community as well as special events such as volunteer celebration nights, newcomer welcome nights, and more. As the Hospitality Team Lead, her goal is to ensure that every person who comes through the doors of First Love on Sundays feels seen and loved. Kay loves enjoying afternoon tea with sweets and a good book. She is committed to living a life of deep intimacy with the Lord and loves to help lead others to experience God to the same depth that she has experienced Him.

Sam Linteau

SOUND & TECH LEAD

Sam joined the staff team in early 2024 and quickly became part of the family. He takes great joy in seeing issues that he can creatively tackle, problems he can solve, and areas he can bring improvement. He is an active part of the First Love community, especially the youth group, and he loves outreach and evangelism as well. Sam brings a simultaneously lighthearted and earnest presence into the audio visual ministry, and his hard work in this realm is a blessing to the church!

Chris & Ashley Palin

Chris and Ashley are the proud parents of two boys, and have been a part of the First Love Church community since 2021. They have been active leaders in the Body of Christ for the past 16 years, and they currently serve as elders, worship leaders, and the leaders of our Evangelism ministry. They have a passion for the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20 – to evangelize, make disciples, baptize them and teach them how to walk intimately with the Lord. They love walking with people in their faith journey and praying with those who are going through difficult circumstances.

Derek & Tammy Belzile

Derek and Tammy recently celebrated 25 years of marriage, and together they have raised four amazing boys, all four are now young adults. Their family continues to expand as their son's are getting married and growing their own families! They have been in ministry leadership for over 20 years, and consider it an honor to serve the people at First Love Church.

Alison Springer

Alison started attending FLC in October 2022. She is honored to serve as an elder, overseeing prayer and celebration at FLC. Alison is co-leading the corporate prayer ministry, and teaching Sunday school for grade 5 to 7. She has previously served local churches in the city as a youth pastor, elementary Sunday school teaching lead, and served women’s ministries in the church and outside the church. She is currently on the board of City Wide Prayer Rally. A professional speaker, her career enables her to do what she loves which is travelling.
