Groups and Ministries
There are many ways to build relationships at First Love Church, and joining a group, attending corporate prayer, or serving in any of these ministries are great ways to do so.​
We encourage people to not settle for Sunday morning interactions alone.

We were created for community – for family – and being in spaces where we can be known, loved, challenged, and invited to bring who God made us to be. This is a big part of what family is all about.
So, we welcome you to consider joining a group, coming out to prayer, or joining Saturday evangelism. Consider how you might like to grow in community this season.
WOMEN'S
GROUP
Alternating Mondays 7:00pm at First Love
A space for all women age 18 through adulthood to grow in relationship with one another and the Lord. ​
Currently on break for the summer and will resume in the fall. The Women's Group is lead by Bere Woods and Daniela Williams.
MEN'S
GROUP

A space for all men age 18 through adulthood to grow in relationship with one another and the Lord.
Currently on break for the summer and will resume in the fall. The Men's Group is lead by Mike Keim and Steve Scorgie.
THE KING'S TABLE - PRAYER
Wednesdays

A space to weekly pray and intercede for the church as a group.
The King's Table is a prayer and intercession group that gathers at the church weekly to pray for anything and everything that concerns the church -- the congregation, any needs, staff, the church's vision and direction, even world issues that affect our family of believers, and many more. In early 2026, as a group, we started to lean into learning the elements of biblical intercession. Every other week, we dive into a teaching about intercession and the week after, we apply it in prayer. Come join us and let's learn how to pray and intercede together!

For everyone who is passionate to seek out the lost in Calgary and share with them the good news.
Inspired by the City Quake Conference at First Love in April 2025, Chris and Ashley Palin started leading a team that goes out weekly to share God's light and love to the city.
YOUTH GROUP
Alternating Fridays
7:00pm at First Love
A space for youth grades 6-12 to grow in relationship with one another and the Lord.​
The First Love Youth Group is led by Jason Harder and his team of amazing youth leaders. Jason and his team are passionate to disciple the youth in the wisdom and ways of the Lord. They pursue His Presence first and foremost. They also manage to have the greatest amounts of fun each Friday!
YOUNG
ADULTS
Saturdays
5:30pm
A space for young adults ages 18-35 from all over Calgary to grow in relationship with one another and the Lord.​
The First Love Young Adults are known for being a very tight-knit community of passionate Jesus-lovers. They welcome young adults from all over the city and many find their tribe amidst this hungry group of young people who are fervently seeking the Lord. In addition to weekly gatherings on Saturday, they also gather once a month for separate men's and women's gatherings. There are also many smaller communities surrounding shared interests within the group including a languages group, a board games group, a cycling group, and more. The First Love Young Adults is led by Matthias Dyckerhoff, Jared Weiss, and Johnathan and Nica Schultz.
M.O.M.'S GROUP
Alternating Tuesdays 10:30am at First Love
A space for moms with young children to grow in relationship with one another and the Lord. ​​
M.O.M. stands for Mom's On Mission. This is a safe space for moms with young children to gather for fellowship and to grow in intimacy with God and with one another. Childcare is provided. Nicole Barnes and Megan Chin do an amazing job of creating a safe space for moms to be themselves, be seen, and be loved. The encouragement and respite that moms receive on these mornings give them the strength they need to step into their God-given purpose daily. Moms on Mission is currently on break for the summer and will resume in the fall.
60+ GROUP
3rd Sunday of each month at 1:00pm
A space for our beloved 60+ congregation to grow in relationship with the Lord and one another.
